Sport is good for the body and the mind. Many need it to really work out and reduce stress after a long day at work. However, regular exercise can do more: namely prevent cardiovascular diseases and metabolic disorders.
In times when the elevator rather than the stairs or the car instead of the wheel are used more and more, the importance of movement increases. Because the heart and muscles need regular physical activity to function properly – just like fat metabolism. Sport also has a positive influence on human body weight and blood pressure.
How much exercise do people need? Regardless of gender, age and risk factors, every person should put around 2,000 calories into exercise every week. This does not have to be achieved with exercise alone: For example, daily brisk walking for about 30 minutes is recommended as a minimum.
Exercise should be so intense that it is stimulating for the metabolism and the cardiovascular system. This happens at a pulse of 100 or slightly above. You can try out any sport that is fun, such as dancing, swimming, hiking or jogging. With every movement, the regularity of the sporting activity is particularly important in order to achieve health benefits.
